I actually don’t remember many specifics either, haha, but I do recall Travis being able to talk to me about a few things in particular that caught my attention and proved that he was on the right track.  Here’s what I remember him describing to me:
– the progress they had made in proving out the concept behind Kibin, doing some very early customer dev type work (talking to students, thinking through the complete use case of a customer, etc.)
– his early discussions w/ investors and the feedback they had given him (showed me that he actually paid attention to external feedback, even if investors early on passed on the opportunity)
– a demonstrated knowledge of the education space and any potential competitors
– a strong grasp on his vision for the product, and what resources he needed around him to bring this vision to life

Like I said, a bit light on specifics, but the fact that he had thought through all of these issues and had actually done some groundwork already were what caught my attention and led to our future lunch meeting.  Hope it helps.

Honestly, I don’t remember specifics.  But I do remember I had an unfair advantage.  Most of the entrepreneurs there were very, very early aspiring ones.  They were asking pretty rookie questions.  It made it easy to stand out from the pack.  Maybe Jeff remembers, I’ll harass him to leave a comment 🙂
